The Problem

Stephen had never done cold outreach before. His hesitation was the same as many of his own prospects: the industry is full of over-promises and under-delivers, and he didn't know if any agency could actually follow through. He also wasn't sure which of his target industries would respond best.

What We Did

Hyperke ran an upfront strategy conversation to identify which industries were most likely to convert given Husky Tail's existing case studies, then launched campaigns for multiple verticals simultaneously. Communication was set up via Slack with detailed lead handover notes on every booked call.

The Results

Leads started arriving by weeks three and four — earlier than projected. The primary industry achieved a 50–60% conversion rate on calls, significantly above the typical 20–25% for cold outreach. Three clients were signed in the first month.

By week three, week four, we were seeing leads come in — which was great. The first industry we ran with, we converted at 50 to 60%, which is not the norm. It really boiled down to industry-specific experience and having lots of big, recognisable case studies.
